The Human Body

This month of April is full of fun and entertaining activities! We will learn about our body. The human body is made up of a head, neck, torso, two arms and two legs.  We will learn how to identify different parts of our body as well as their function.

We will continue with the identification of body parts and what they do by using your child’s senses.

Our knowledge of the outside world depends on our modes of perception. We will do different  experiments to stimulate each of them and to learn how to differentiate them one from another. We will identify which part of the body we used to recognize each sense.

Observing and asking questions about how they look allows young children to explore and learn about themselves. We will look at each of us and study the way we look; the color of our hair, eyes, and skin. We will distinguish ourselves as boys or girls. We will learn about sharing and caring for our friends, teachers and family! As well as the importance of respecting ourselves and the people around us. We will discuss the gift of giving and the warm feeling that giving and caring for others bring to our hearts!

VALUE OF THE MONTH

PERSEVERANCE

Perseverance is being committed in your heart and persistent in your effort. You commit to your goals and overcome obstacles, no matter how long it takes. When the going gets rough and you figure out a way to hang in there and achieve your goals, you are showing perseverance.
