The Human Body
This month of May is full of fun and entertaining activities! We will learn about our body. The human body is made up of a head, neck, torso, two arms and two legs. We will learn to identify different parts of our body as well as their function.
We will continue with the identification of parts of the body and what they do by utilizing your child’s senses.
Our knowledge of the outside world depends on our modes of perception. We will do different experiments to stimulate each of them and to learn how to differentiate them one from another. We will identify which part of the body we used to recognize each sense.
Observing and asking questions about how they look allows young children to explore and learn about themselves. We will look at each of us and study the way we look; the color of our hair, eyes, and skin. We will distinguish ourselves as boys or girls. We will learn about sharing and caring for our friends, teachers and family! As well as the importance of respecting ourselves and the people around us. We will discuss the gift of giving and the warm feeling that giving and caring for others brings to our hearts!
Rhyme of the month
Cuando el payaso esta feliz!
Se le cae la nariz.
Un pajarito me dijo al oído,
pio pio pio tengo mucho frío.
Value of the Month
Being humble is how you show others that you don’t think you are better then they are. You are thoughtful of other people’s needs and you want to help them without expecting anything in return. You accept that everyone makes mistakes and try to learn from your own missteps.
When you succeed at something, and you politely show thanks instead of pride, you are showing your humbleness.
