We will have a lot of fun this month! The topic of the month will be “Geography”.
We will learn that the Earth is divided by imaginary lines. The line in the middle is the Equator and divides the planet into two halves, then comes the Tropic and the Poles.
We will be looking into the Continents and learning how they were formed and what their names are (Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Australia, Antarctica, and Europe).
We will be making a 3-D map of the U.S. measuring 1.20m x 1.20m. We will then add the mountains, rivers, volcanoes and deserts.
We will be learning all about the Continents, how they were formed, what they’re composed of and their climate as well as their inhabitants.
We will be very occupied in Science performing experiments to further comprehend these concepts.
In art, we will be constructing and building our map!
Finally, we will see that in the Continents there are countries and in the countries there are states. We will learn State’s map and its political division, and that we live in a city called Miami in the State of Florida.
Rhyme of the month:
Come to the window,
My baby, with me,
And look at the stars
That shine on the sea!
There are two little stars
That play bo-peep
With two little fish
Far down in the deep;
And two little frogs
Cry “Neap, neap, neap;”
I see a dear baby
That should be asleep.
Value of the month: COMPASSION
Compassion is understanding and caring when someone who needs help, is hurt or in trouble, even if you don’t know the person. You forgive mistakes and you’re a good friend to people who need your friendship.
