NOVEMBER

This month will be a very exciting one. We are going to be role-playing as inventors and scientists. Besides that, we will be learning and studying the inventions that have changed the world.

One of the characteristics humans have, is that they have the capability and intelligence to invent things. Since the first human, man has always been trying to create new objects. The first ones were made out of rock or bone. They were simple at the beginning and improved with time.

We will go on a voyage in time where we will learn everything about the first inventions and discoveries that man made a long long time ago, such as fire, language, wheels, etc… We will also learn how they created homes and their way of living. Then we will be learning  about electricity, which, now a days, is what runs machinery and factories and provides us with light that helps us see at night. We will look into medicine and vaccines as well as basic food items such as bread, yogurt, chocolate, and sugar. Finally, we will see how they invented telephones and television and we will finish by learning about transportation such as cars, planes, and boats.

For this experience, every child must bring a small project from home that relates to an invention including a brief explanation on how they created it and how it works.

The teacher will let you know the topic during the first week of the month.

Oh big fish, Oh big fish,

Oh where do you hide?

Poem of the Month:

Above the clouds, below the sea

or beyond the ocean wide?

When we fish, for the big fish

where will little fish abide?

Oh big fish, Oh little fish

into the sea we ride.

Value of the month: COMPASSION

Compassion is understanding and caring when someone who needs help, is hurt or in trouble, even if you don’t know the person. You forgive mistakes and you’re a good friend to people who need your friendship.
